Angry Aygo in SA

Every manufacture has one person spending most of their time sitting at a dealership than they do in their cars, so its not fair to say you won't consider one manufacture because you heard stories about it or had a bad experience 5-10 years ago.

I don't own a Peugeot, yes I have heard the stories but it doesn't stop me from considering purchasing one of their newer vehicles

And you're welcome to do so - but there are stories for a reason.

you mean cheese and snails eating surrender monkeys:p

so if its a toyota underneath then it might be not so bad, at least the mechanical's will last.

My 1st gen Aygo, at the time, had the lowest number of faults per hundred vehicles off the production line. Had about 38k on the clock with no real mechanical issues when I sold it. That being said, I did have to wait for a aircon filter for about 3 months that wasn't in stock when I serviced it.

I am by no means a Toyota fan, to me it's the old Statsdiens kar and very expensive for what you get. Don't get me wrong I do respect their products and reliability as well as resale value but it's a yehggg car to me in general. Every tom dick and harry want's a Hi-lux or tuna.........

However this little "angry bird" is actually quite cute.

You get a lot lot more from the Aygo than you do from other vehicles in the price range... I was drawn to it as fuel saver - and MirrorLink - so live traffic on the way home.

Needless to say, when I went to test drive it I saw another vehicle in the used lot, and went with that instead.

189K for a walking ring !!
Anybody whose had a car with a sunroof knows you use it once or twice and then never again - waste of time.
For that money I would buy a Hyundai Grand i10 - More space, better performance, better looking.
That Aygo is FUGLY !!!

One of the factors for me is where they are built.

Aygos are manufactured in the Czech Republic, whilst other cheap cars are made in the third world. They are not cheap because they are manufactured cheaply by cheap labour. They are cheap because they have been cleverly designed.

So, can you hazard a guess as to why people here hate the dacia based renaults so much?
