Annoyed... please help

okay, my story is a sad one as it is really inconvienient,,,
okay, 2 days ago on the 28th of December i could not go on any international websites (anything .com or other) so i thought oh well, internationaly capped,,, i got over it, when i looked at our ADSL USAGE emails it told me i had use 700mbs on 3 days when i wasnt even at home,,, how this happened i dont know,,,

Yesterday, i woke up and logged onto wow,,, i could go on international websites ETC, now today i cant go on again, what is telkom's problem and wat the hell is going on, im actually getting sick of this rubbish......
if anyone can tell me what is going on

It sounds like you didn't change the default password on your ADSL router, and that someone might have hacked into your router and stolen your ADSL ISP account details [username & password], and is now using your ADSL ISP account from their ADSL line.

Change the password on your router, then change the password for your ADSL ISP account.
 
okay thanks, but we change it often, and telkom seems to just add on about 40mbs a day even if our router is unplugged....
is using ftp://ftp.games.saix.net/ safe ??? and i C that is all games wat else can u download from there and wat is the adress

Unfortunately I cannot help you there, I have never been a TelkodemonopoliesHindernet customer, also not into gaming.
 
I was capped on the 23rd December at 2.6GB on a Do2 2GB package which is the first time that I have been capped below 3GB. After turning the router on and off several times I was still unable to access international sites. Several days later, however, my international access returned. Last night I was capped again after the 24hr reset. After turning my router on and off again I am again able to access international sites. I would just keep trying your Telkom account every day to see if your international access returns.
 
that is not my intention, but im tired of telkom's rubbish, do u know why i cant get on international servers, but i could,,, then i couldnt,,,,then i could again,,,, now i cant?

Perhaps best to open a pre-paid ADSL ISP account with a different ADSL ISP, to use in addition to your existing TelkodemonopoliesHindernet ADSL ISP account, i.e. when that is capped.
 
@scofield: I wouldn't reset your router too often though in case you damage it. I usually turn my router off every day but at the moment I am keeping it on while I am uncapped as I don't know how long this will last. My few days of access using an Axxess prepaid voucher cost around R35! If you don't get uncapped after one or two resets then you may have to go without for a day or two or use a prepaid voucher as ic suggests. Keep trying every day and maybe you'll be lucky.

I don't understand :confused: do you mean you have lost your TelkodemonopoliesHindernet ADSL ISP account username & password? - surely you have the details recorded somewhere?
 
:(, u C the thing is, we just re made our office,,, like took everything out and put new shelves, as i got a PC for X-mas we needed more space, and the little piece of precious paper got lost :(
 
BTW: will it work if u change my username to the TelkodemonopoliesHindernet ADSL ISP account ???
 
@scofield, you're going to need to explain what you changed - there were several suggestions made in this thread, I suggested the following but don't know which you chose to follow:
  1. Change the ADSL router's own password; and
  2. Change the password associated with your TelkodemonopoliesHindernet ADSL ISP account username;
  3. Consider purchasing a pre-paid ADSL ISP Account - or as suggested by Yotch - buy a pre-paid ADSL voucher.
