More pics of interior as well, Fawkes.

Hi all,

Looking for a SUV to replace my SO's Mini. My ideal preference (X3 xDrive20d) seems to be scarce on the second hand market so looking for recommendations.

Ideally 2017+
A bunch of airbags
Diesel hopefully but a economical Petrol is okay.
Bluetooth (as some cars still don't have???)
Parking sensors
IsoFix
Automatic

And under R450k.

Toyota Cross was an option but yeah. Can anyone
recommend a car with a decent second hand parts market and comfortable to be in as I have back problems.
BMW X3 is great, but its value drops fast. So basically you will be throwing money at something, and it wont hold up.

The Corolla Cross is really nice. I used to like VW and Mercedes but am happy. The Hybrid is what I went for though, especially since fuel will keep going up and up. Its got nice sensors, more basic. Has apple car play/android auto, and isnt too much.

It really depends how much time you plan to spend offroad, if at all. If its like a dirt road driving, the corolla cross is decent, if more hectic than a 4x4.

But the Corolla Cross does 4.3l combined (hybrid that I have). Which is well great.

The Nissan Xtrail would have been my more 4x4 version. I have not met a person that didnt like theirs. The Qashqai is bit lighter on fuel. \

But I do like the X3, just everyone told me if its over 7 years get rid of it, but otherwise it can still have a warranty, but you will loose a lot of money in the process, whereas the Corolla Cross will keep its value so not such a big knock.

But at the end its your choice.

So Corolla Cross Hybrid
Nissan Xtrail Elite (or Qashqai Elite)
VW T-Coss (get the 1.5 not the 1.0)
or your BMW X3 if you want, but the 2017+ X1 is pretty decent too (a few X3 drivers I know downgraded to that one). But remember if it breaks, it will cost you a fortune to fix it. Same with the VWs lately. (They believe they are bmws)
Mercedes GLB is my fav, but out of your price range. 7 seaters though. The Xtrail you can also get in 7 seaters.

Just take into consideration that fuel will get a lot more expensive and a lot more scarce in SA (Refineries closing so fuel have to be totally imported, Russia embargos to block oil may shoot up prices to double or triple). So as fuel efficient as possible.
