Okay... on 702 right now...
Blue-light convoy speeding in Sandton, Grayston offramp, have just knocked over a motorcyclist, and did not stop.
A non VIP road-user flagged down one of the tail blue-light police cars to help attend to the injured motorcyclist who was thrown into the air by the convoy... he is on the side of the road in need of an ambulance which has not arrived yet.
FSUCK these VIPs.
EDIT: Paramedics have arrived and apparently, according to another eyewitness, the blue-light brigade car rolled down a window and then purposefully bumped him out of the way.

Well... another caller has just said that the motorcyclist was not bumped by the Blue-light-brigade (BLB)... was not an eye witness to the actual accident, but has said that the BLB was driving at around 80 in the emergency lane, and the motorcyclist was in the 2nd lane.
BUT, 702 EWN played a recording of an eye witness caller who said that he saw the BLB bump the motorcyclist out the way.
???
Who to believe at this point in time.

Well, you are only allowed to drive in the emergency lane in an emergency, and this was clearly NOT an emergency.
An "emergency" would involve some life-threatening or life-saving situation, which was not the case here.
And driving at 80 in the emergency lane in congested traffic IS reckless driving, a criminal offence !!!

702 EWN... metro police have confirmed that the Blue-Light-Brigade (BLB) was not responsible for the biker's accident.
Apparently the biker "fell off his bike" at the time the BLB shot passed.
Go figure!
He fell off his bike, flew through the air and lost his helmet... nothing to do with the BLB.
