So this morning I received my newest rates and taxes.

And boy, was I in for a surprise.

If you own more than 2 properties, your rates went up, and more than 100%.

Drove to COJ, they just smiled and said, time to sell hey!

Its crazy what we became! (or rather, how a basic charge is now doubled and more).

Well, the up side, SARS will love me for my losses! (I will just blame COJ) !

There isn't much use in investing in SA. Just move it offshore like they obviously want based on all of the dodgy laws and regulations.

Will pay 10 times more overseas. This is what OP is moaning about. This is a third world country, not a first world country. But no, you mos need a Visa for Cape Town.

Look, I thought the eskom and solar thing was a fight coming. This is on another level!

Based on what? New promulgation, new bylaw... anything?

But you're CoJ why would you fight Eskom? Don't you pay City Power?

How I now feel, it boils down to the same thing. Load levies galore on solar users!

This is rates and taxes. Nothing todo with power or water
