Another day... another CIT heist.

I absolutely agree with this approach. The police definately need more undercover policing within the Syndicates and the CIT staff. It is very difficult and dangerous work but it is very neccesary.

It may be difficult and dangerous but that's part of being a cop unfortunately. You need to up the risk for the people committing the crime, the greater the chance of being arrested/shot/killed the less chance there is of them committing it in the first place.

They should fix the problem, but in the meantime they should use old caspers to transport money.

That, and instead of lining the money boxes with dye line them with semtex that can be remotely activated. :D

When I worked in security we used to do our money moves with Saracens. These 6 wheel cockroaches were unstoppable! We used to do thorough planning on how the moves would be done. Routes, escape routes, possible ambushes, scout vehicles and ghost vehicles all made part of the excersize. However, if you take the existing CIT companies with their single semi-armored minibuses it comes as no surprise that CIT heists are such a big problem...

I've seen vans driving around lately that are a lot more armoured, look almost like tanks, they're just plain white with no company details so not sure who's using them.

The Trucks U sow was the Platinum trucks coming from Rustenburg going to Johannesburg International. You'll notice that a few minutes after they have passed a chopper flies by as their escort. No way one of those trucks will be jacked ! I've been to an expo where they showed these trucks.

They have extinguishers built into the roof and the whole shebang !

I personally know that 3 of those trucks belong to Anglo Plat and 2 belongs to Impala Plat.

perhaps its time guavamint drafted a bill on how CIT companies should do business. it should be mandatory to transport money in these "Platinum" trucks, with an army escort, and the chopper, just in case ;)

Saw them at a shopping centre in PE so if it was them they must have taken a major detour. :D Maybe they're using the same design for CIT trucks now?

Uhm am I the only person wonder what the mortality rate of the CIT people looks like at this point? It's probably the most dangerous line of work these days, cops don't even match up!

Probably a relatively small percentage of the total trips done, despite the media attention.
