Emergency Maintenance

I have just contacted a Neotel Employee from "accounts technical"
department of their call center. They have told me that there has been an
emergency maintenance on the Sandton and Fourways (as well as a few
other areas)
base stations.

This is due to the building complaints of: dropped internet sessions, slow
speeds, speed degradation and over all poor network performance.

I was also informed that this would cause disturbances in the network, to list
a few: No internet connection, No EV-OD network, Low signal, as well as
disrupting browsing. Lastly I was told that the Emergency Maintenance should
be completed by 6:00PM. And will hopefully solve the above mounting network
issues.

Well we will wait and see if this Emergency Maintenance does solve these
problems. I for one really hope that they do

When have we started believing anything they spouted?

It took iBurst a good year before they got their stuff straight. Hopefully neotel will take much less...

My connection has been pretty poor for the past 2 hours. Constant disconnects, and currently experiencing high packet loss. Im wondering (hoping) if it has to do with the so called emergency maintenance.
I'm connected to Wynberg base-station in Cape Town. Anyone experiencing issues ?
