Every country has these characters guys, god knows I have encountered quite a few during my years in business. Trick is to stay the hell away.

The brass lying there... that's 5.56mm (5.56x45), so it could have been an R4, Galil, or one of a few other rifles. Seeing how it went through the armoured windows (yes, those are armoured), it was a steel-core, or otherwise known as armour-piercing round. Those are issued to SAPS and the SANDF. Those go right through bullet proof vests too, btw.

The vehicle was probably armoured up to a 44Mag level, but it's sure as heck not stopping armour-piercing rounds.

Cape link to Joburg underworld killing

Cape Town - The bloody hit this weekend on Joburg underworld figure Sam Issa has already been linked to the murder of former Sexy Boys gangster and hitman Leon “Lyons” Davids, in Belhar earlier this week, a police source has revealed.

At least 33 rounds were fired at Issa in his black Audi Q7. The murder, in an apparent drive-by shooting at a traffic light in Bedfordview, Joburg, on Saturday has thrown the underworlds of that city and Cape Town firmly into the spotlight, with high-level investigations under way.

Both the men allegedly worked for controversial Czech businessman Radovan Krejcir. However, Davids was in witness protection after allegedly fingering the masterminds behind the murder of Cape Town bouncer boss Cyril Beeka in 2011.

Beeka was also killed in a drive-by shooting, by a man on a motorcycle, after leaving the house of former gang boss Jerome “Donkie” Booysen in Belhar.

Yesterday a source revealed that a team of Cape Town detectives was sent to Joburg on Friday to probe links between the murder of Davids and the Sexy Boys gang.


They will now join the team of top Organised Crime detective Lieutenant-Colonel Piet Viljoen...

The source said groups of the Sexy Boys, whose stronghold is in Belhar, had relocated to Bedfordview and Kempton Park for business dealings. They would be questioned in the days ahead. link
