Damnit, never thought it could happen to me. I thought the HDMI consoles were immune to RROD

No 360's are immune to RROD. Its a way of life and Microsoft want to put fear on the hearts of their followers. Sad if you ask me.

What are you going to do then? Let Microsoft take advantage of the silent victim?

I hope IC will give me a replacement unit since I still have the invoice.

Come on, give the guy some advice. If you aren't gonna be helpful please go bother the Xbox/PS3 thread.

I had RRoD the other day

Turns out power dips can cause it :/

Odd...since the PSU is suppose to act as a UPS type device (hench the manual reffering to plug it directly into the wall socket)

Mine's been running from a multiplug for a few months now and it is fine considering its a 175w console with a 200w psu

Happened to me the other week...Check your power light on your power brick is green not red.
If its red unplug/replug from the wall socket, that's all it was for me and was showing RRod lights on the console.

Damn, got mine around the same time and was hoping that I was safe. Although my xbox is used more as a glorified dvd player these days

It's green and I'm still seeing red :(

Please tell me your joking, I have had no problem with my Xbox, no RRod or power issues, but my power supply's LED has always been orange since the day i got it, i hope this is not a problem?

EDIT. It looks like the power supply is orange when its in standby, green when powered on and red if there is a fault.
I will double check tonight, because when ever i have looked at it , its been orange , maybe this time i must turn the console on, get up and go have a look.:o

Everything in my house got reset as well, so it was quite epic. Nearly shat myself, but to my relief I just needed to turn the plug on and off :D

Give them a call first as they might want you to get a reference number from MS. The number is on the box!
Go to IC and take it in with the invoice and they should be able to replace it in store as it is still withing the 12 mth warranty.
