somebody at telkom is selling user base, I've heard prices starting from 20c /email address for big volumes starting from 10k addresses.

just aslong as ppl know telkom (or any ISP for that matter) will never request your login details via email

thats why i started the thread ,but alas im capped so i cannot report him.please feel free to do so if you received a similar email.interestingly enough i went over my cap by 20 gig last month ,this person has access to all my info at telkom.luckily the reason im with telkom is that i pay cash at their offices .imagine the credit card details that would be sold if they were actually a technologically advanced bussiness.

you can probably report this to SAPS. at least bring it to the attention of Telkom....but don't expect them to do anything about, just knowing you did your part is enough

I say nail him to the wall - how many innocent people has he abused and this is where it starts and next thing it gets bigger and bigger. Report him to Telkom and request feedback - they are obliged to report back to you.
