I know this isn't HelloPeter, but I REALLY need to vent.

I've been trying for weeks just to get a phone line activated, but end up with no technicians pitching up to install. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt by allowing them to actually provide a service...which is what the majority of businesses do to make money. The call centre/inbound staff have been great, but when it comes to getting a technician to do his/her job it's impossible.

First appointment was on 21/06/2016. They phoned at 16:30 to reschedule for the next day, only to reschedule repeatedly for the next 2 days (apparently the system was down). According to the call centre, the technician arrived and saw the locked gate by the front door which can actually be opened by the person on the other side with a simple knock on the door.

I called again, on Monday, and they scheduled for today (29/06/2016) to only receive a missed call about 20 minutes ago (16:50). They let the phone ring for 2 seconds and put down...

Wireless is still too expensive so all I can do is keep trying.

Thats some bad luck. They should have asked for your availability times since they rescheduled so many times.

Maybe Telkom should reimburse the customer for a missed appointment, maybe a small discount on the bill? but what if Telkom keeps the appointment and the customer is unavailable? Tricky.......
