Anyone taking this product?
I seem to have a major problem with IR. A few carbs and I get the munchies, especially at night.

Not looking for a dietery supplement or a miracle pill. Just something to kill the cravings.

Is it possible to cut out those carbs at night / generally?

Incorrect, Gordon. Low blood sugar triggers cravings and hunger as well.

Please don't mess around with medicating yourself. If Dr Google says your have insulin resistance, pay your GP a visit for formal blood tests. It's much better to start intervening in pre-diabetes than in diabetes. A simple drug (miracle drug or not) is not adequate; you'll have to put in more effort to prevent getting diabetes i.e diet and lifestyle changes. The morbidity around diabetes is incredibly high, don't mess around with it.
Hypoglycaemia can cause hunger, but you can also experience hunger while your body is hyperglycaemic (insulin resistance and diabetes) and normoglycaemic (normal eating times, habitual hunger, and other causes). Hunger and craving especially are unfortunately subjective and many people can't appreciate the difference.
If you have retained the ability to distinguish between hunger and cravings, don't feed the cravings. Easier said than done, but not impossible.

You can take Antagolin if you want. But it's not enough, you need to do dietary and lifestyle interventions. Also, pay a visit to camcheck.

Just stop eating sugar and carbs and you will reach satiety quickly.

carbs = sugar = spike blood sugar = triggers insulin = causes drop in blood sugar = trigger munchies

it's a vicious cycle, hence the evil that is sugar.

Appetite is regulated by the hormone ghrelin, and numerous other factors, including stress. AFAIK this has nothing to do with insulin, so I think you are barking up the wrong tree. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghrelin and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Appetite

Insulin spikes affect leptin, which also affects hunger levels. This is why people who usually eat a low carbohydrate diet occasionally need to binge on carbs in order to bring their leptin levels back into normal.

When insulin levels are high, the body is considered fed, not fasted.

Everyone has insulin resistance - the key is, how much? Diabetics have the highest insulin resistance. High insulin resistance is bad.

EDIT: OP, from having a quick read, Antagolin looks like it might be snake oil. The fastest way to decrease insulin resistance is to fast. Just skip breakfast and your insulin resistance will start to drop.

What carbs? Refined carbs will make you eat more. Appetite control has been discussed in this sub-forum ad nauseam. Cut out refined / processed foods (not all carbs are equal), eat more whole foods, fats and protein, drink more water and your appetite will eventually stabilise (if you do not have a metabolic issue). If a clean diet does not correct your appetite, go see a medical professional. Supplements are big money and will therefore have a lot of material to back up their claims, and most of the time they are absolutely not needed.

I had an HbA1C test in February 2017 and the result was 5.1. I then started to use Antagolin - sometimes two tablets a day, sometimes four tablets a day. When I again had an HbA1C test in October 2017, the result was 4.9. I can't say for sure that it was because of the Antagolin.

Just fyi, I was diagnosed with Insulin Resistance in 2010 but thats because my insulin levels were 50+ whereas a normal person is under 10 mark for the test they did. Just have a blood test done and get your GP to check the results.

* Edit * I see the test is called a Basal Insulin Test, see below:

Antagolin - insulin resistance supplement

I tried this a couple of years ago. All it did was made me feel bloated all the time. Never again.
I reckon it has about the same effect as those Chinese weight loss teas = 0

Fix your diet.

Do some research on inositol and the positive effects it can have.

(Inositol is a B-type vitamin, protecting at the cellular level)
