Anyone else with this case notice that the top 120mm fan causes some vibration against the top panel? This gives off a low humming sound...not really loud, but I can hear it and it's quite irritating :)

This even happens with the fan on the low setting and progressively worsens as you speed it up. The only way I could get rid of it was to plug the fan into my "FAN-ONLY" 12v supply from my Antec PSU which speed is thermally controlled by the PSU - it then spins lower than it would normally on the Low setting selected from the rear switch.

I just find it silly that they've got all these anti-noise features in the case (silicone strips for the psu, sidepanels, hdd gromets, feet etc) but didn't do anything with the 120mm fans (specifically the top one).

A nice silicone gasket for the fan would've helped, I know Vantec has a product like this. On their Sonata range they even have silicone fan mounts - why leave it out on a more expensive case?

Can't say that I've noticed. Mine is pretty much silent. I do find it odd that there is no vibration damping for the optical drives though.

Cheap to pick up some of your own :)

Thinking of getting the 182 next week, how is it in every other sense ?

Yeah, going to get some vantecs, just wanted to rant a bit :D

It's really a nice case, you won't be sorry if you get one. Great build quality. Also makes a very neat looking system with it's cable management, just get a PSU with long enough cables. :)

Could it be that the grid wasn't clicked into place properly? The grid cover for that fan...

OK. Apparently all Antec PSUs have long enough cables. I guess I'll just have to fork out the moola for an Antec PSU then. I think I'll go for the Antec Neo HE 550.

I have the P180 and it is the best damn case I have ever used or seen.

I'm also considering buying this case next week. Which PSU have you got?

Proud owner of a P180. P182 is awesome. Sorted out all the minor issues the P180 had. Cable routing is the best I've seen and the noise levels are extremely low.

Add the Coolermaster RealPower 700W PSU as well. i'ts the highest power PSU I know of that is still small enough to put into the case and still have the lower chamber fan in. Also, its a lot quieter than the Truepower 2 550W I had.

All Antec Truepower Trio and Neo HE PSU will also fit. Be careful of no name brand and cheap ones, the cables are not long enough to get routed neatly. I'm sure you don't want your 24pin power cable to run over your graphics card.
