Antenna Splitter - Yes or No?

Guys,

Has anyone had any experience with using an Antenna Splitter?

Daffy, Rodent - All it would take is a yes or no from either of you and I'll stop even considering it...

It would be an easy way to have multiple antenna's on one router but I am worried about the degradation of the signal when using such a device...

Any takers?

2 output spliter, devide your output power by 2. Subtract a bit more for noise, then you can come to your own conclusion. Generally, steer away from them.

CaptainWifi, you, of all people should know that the EIRP limit is 100mw in South Africa. Using a splitter is just _slightly_ better than using an omnidirectional antenna. With two antennae connected to an 802.11 device you will pick up double the noise. Attennuation, and all other kinds of issues also creep up.

At the price of a $50 splitter, you may as well invest in another 802.11 device. More radios = good. Omni's and splitters = bad.
