Antenna - wots the point

Hello

I have a Telkom WIFI ADSL router.

With the stand alone antenna, it gives me a low signal in one part of the house.

i went and bought this DLINK 6db antenna and it does nothing to boost the signal.

Am i doing something wrong??

Yup..... There's your problem.

The Router has got a 5dBi antenna so putting up a 6dBi is not gonna help much.

Try putting a mirror behind the antenna - so it reflects the signal in the direction you require signal, alternatively, google cantenna, or pringles can. There are also plenty more ways to get past this problem, without needing to spend any money - Trust me!
