Anti-hijack software under development

That smart! Now the hijackers don't even need to get on the plane to hijack it! They just hijack it from the comfort of their own homes! Brilliant!

Business idea #128,465: Implement similar system in the electronics of modern cars. No need to hijack the car and shoot people anymore - simply use moded chips from Business idea #128,464b and use radio controlled handsets to drive the car to the desired chop-shop - have an Eject Seat button installed to evacuate the passengers and thereby save their lives :rolleyes:

All of a sudden, the term "software crash" takes on a whole new meaning. :D

The plane didn't crash, it stopped responding!

This actually happened to the US Navy. One of their destroyers was running on some variant of Windows NT and the thing crashed leaving it completely dead in the water.

How on earth do you design a system in such a way that a hacker can't get "around" it? :confused: if that was 100% possible then why does online hacking still happen? :rolleyes:
Anyway all the hijacker needs to do is locate the wireless reciever (obviously it needs one if they need to be able to control it from the ground) and smash it up... if the reciever is dead they can't control the plane :rolleyes:

now this complicates things! just hijack the signal no need risk getting shot
 
Of course they now can save on airport security. Why check the passengers? Your plane is going down anyway!
