What is the best anti virus to use these days ? free ware stuff or commercial stuff.

Been having a very good experience with Nod32. Very fast, nice UI, and auto-updates that work very well.

Bit Defender

I'm using Bit Defender 9. I like! Has its own firewall, spam filter and doesn't slow the computer down.

But what ever you do: DON'T GO FOR NORTON:mad:

ye there are some decent AV's out there that wont rape ur system like Norton does. NOD32 - used it loved it. license wore out :(
Kaspersky - also light weight on resources and efficient. using it now. very customizable
BitDefender - IT dudes installed it at my Ma's work... seems to work :)

I was using AVG up until the other day. For some reason, it would want to reboot my computer every frikkin' day (for the past two weeks or so) to install new updates, and since I don't like rebooting very often, I dumped it, and I'm now trying Avast, which seems to be nice.

I've used AVAST as well. Works perfectly, but I like the Bit Defender's build in firewall feature. :D
Tried F-Secure too, but always had updateing problems...:(
Kaspersky also restarted my computer often.:(
Panda Internet Security never worked as it should.:(
