Hi,

I currently use Windows Media Player to play all my music, sync music to my phone, automatically update music playlist on my PC, etc. I got VLC installed to play vids that WMP can't play.

Is there any other media player software out there that is better than WMP with music and all? Im getting bored of WMP. I would like a media player that can also play everything in one so I dont need to have VLC installed.

Thanks

The other option would be to install iTunes for Windows, get really upset, the go back to Windows Media Player and realise that its not so bad after all. :)

WMP is actually nice for music... I use iTunes though.

I have tried every media player under the sun for my music and nothing beats iTunes.

I would also like to know, my WMP takes ages to start up, I don't think its made for more then 100GB of music

Thanks for all the input, I just downloaded and installed WinAmp, and I am loving it! :D It plays my FLAC files too!! :D I'm going to try out Media Monkey now. But I really like WinAmp!!

After spending the last few weeks customising my Windows Media Centre, I won't use anything else. Does what I need it to.

+1 winamp
And I enabled the global hotkeys plug-in, so I can stop, pause, skip songs without having to open the app all the time

I am using WinAMP, I wanted to play a video on it (.mp4) and it just played the audio but not the actual video. Is there a setting somewhere for this?

MediaMonkey Gold is far superior to most audio players out there in terms of library management.

I did the same thing recently and it's killer. I use Mobile Mouse on my iPad to control it and I couldn't be happier. As for WMP not playing content, you just need the K-Lite full codec pack and then you won't have any more issues with that. VLC is a better player overall than WMP, but for the media centre functionality it's very short. Someone needs to integrate it into XBMC or something then I'll be keen.

It is probably a codec issue.
