Any comments on Nikon D7000?

I am thinking of buying one - has anyone used one yet? How does it compare to D300?

Performance wise, it is a much better camera than the D300. Handling wise, it is very different to the D300 in terms of ergonomics and control layout. So much so that I returned my D7000.

I believe the D7000 the new top level 'amateur' camera. Well thats what the Nikon guys tell me. D3100 is new entry level, mid level is D5100 and then D7000. I am aiming to buy one soon, though the price is still quite high. I mean R11k for a body. Really..... But in the meanwhile i am very happy with my D3000.
