Any companies using MS Lync?

Of the 6 JSE listed companies I work at, 1 uses it. It seems users find it useful. The other companies have their own internal tools that perform similar functions.

@Duan it did initially and video was disabled for a while. But is has stabilised quite nicely. Also photos and status updates have also been disabled, so that helps.

I've done a few implementations. Most of them still running quite strong, especially for those companies more inclined to try streamline and modernize

it helped to move to a new building which was state of the art. So all all APs are 300N+. It sucked on the old 54g wireless

I use it, I don't like it. But I guess that it is important for when we have to share screens or present.

We use it and so does most of our clients, it's brilliant. Not too much of an impact on the internal network. Your internet connection might suffer if you federate with other companies and use video.

we use it. online meetings ftw. works really well.

We use it and it runs well even on samsung s3 and desktop but let is let down by our internet connection in SA.

I think it's a nifty piece of software. The company I work for uses it. Roughly 13k+ employees wordlwide. But then again, we can afford massive servers and bandwidth/throughput. All of our phone calls between branches are VoIP-based too.

Most of you guys using it with voip? Ie call directly from your pc?

Also, anyone using lync server as a VoIP pbx?
