Any CSS coder willing to code for free?

You would obviously be biased regarding Obj-C its your bread and butter.

Lol. No it's not. My "bread and butter" is Pl/SQL. At the moment anyway. I don't have anything against other languages. I like C# a lot. I also like Objective C a lot. I'm fortunate to get work with Objective C as well.

I would like to do more C#, but its not going to happen.

I may favour Oracle db over MSsql server , but that's because I know Oracle better. If somebody asks me I will tell the what is good and bad about Oracle. I'll tell them to talk to someone else about MSSql server. I won't get offended if they then choose MS, because I don't earn commission selling oracle. They choose what fits their needs and resources.

I just don't regard CSS as programming language which is viable as a programming language. It's good for what it's designed to do. Because I don't regard it a serious programming language, I'm on some sort of "high horse". Well, that's laughable and the implication by some here that it is a serious programming language is indicative of their lack of knowledge and experience.

No one said it is a "serious" programming language. Only that it is one.

Nobody said CSS can be used what it wasnt designed for, you are the one that started coming asking can CSS write to a database, trying to measure which one is better. PL/SQL is good for only one thing DB nothing else.

And that is why people immediately went after you.

And it it a serious language with regards to web technology. Whether you care to acknowledge the fact or not.

Yeah, for Mickey Mouse maybe

That still does not mean it is not a "language", as you put it.

Look, you were wrong about CSS not being a language. Just admit it.

But then again they get did their results from
The ratings are based on the number of skilled engineers world-wide, courses and third party vendors

Skilled being the key concept here :D

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cascading_Style_Sheets

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a style sheet language used for describing the presentation semantics (the look and formatting) of a document written in a markup language. Its most common application is to style web pages written in HTML and XHTML, but the language can also be applied to any kind of XML document, including plain XML, SVG and XUL.

Its a "STYLE SHEET LANGUAGE" not a PROGRAMMING lanuguage :D

And even from the CSS site itself:

http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/Overview.en.html

What is CSS?

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a simple mechanism for adding style (e.g., fonts, colors, spacing) to Web documents.

Programming language. lol. Seems some of you wouldnt know programming if it bit you on the ass :D

Lets look at your original post on the subject.

Lol. CSS is a language ?

Do you see a mention of whether its a Style Sheet Language or Programming Language? I do not.

And what do you understand by the term programming language?

I understand it to mean a language with a restricted grammar and syntax that is readable by humans and parse-able by computers, which means it can be compiled, interpreted or translated into a simpler, machine executable form. CSS fits that bill, since it is readable by humans, has a restricted grammar and syntax, and must be interpreted before the statements in it can be executed.

Just admit that you are a seat-of-the-pants programmer who does not understand or appreciate the more scientific aspects of programming.

Lol. Is that a serious question? If it is, it says a lot about you.

Look at these job adds
http://www.technojobs.co.uk/jobs/objective-c

Yes, it's largely irrelevant to South Africans, but then South Africa is pretty much irrelevant to the rest of the world.
You prove my point.

We'll get to that when someone ends up with a crappy looking website and then gets the answer "Well you didn't specify being proficient in CSS." CSS is largely overlooked when its results are good. Now tell us how will Obj C accomplish website layout and styling?

Sorry, my bad, I meant that in terms of a programming language. I did say CSS is good for what it is designed for: style sheets etc. It's not a programming language though :)

Isn't there a rule banning apologies on internet forums?

All this because OP had no value for CSS...

This coming from a MSSQL server person(I don't use the term "developer" or "programmer", as that would be an insult to MSSSQL server devs), who doesn't know how to use stored procedures.

There's already a thread for this...
