Any good hacking sims/games out there?

Well it seems hacking is hitting the news headlines a lot lately

Anyway so I thought I would search for any hacking sims/games to have a bit of fun. Particularly one that involves a bit of competition, or some mmo aspect. Can't really find any out there other than the old Uplink game and there is one on steam but doesn't look very realistic, just point and click with no real learning curve.

Is there really nothing out there? At least with a bit of simulator appeal and doesn't look like a dogs breakfast?

there aren't really any realistic hacking games since there are way too much stuff to cover.

you can try http://www.enigmagroup.org/forums/index.php for challenges though.it gets extremely tough after the basics.

Hmmm....I think I did stumble on that but probably dismissed it too quickly. Thanks will give it a better look

Another thing you can do is setup some virtual machines, and use backtrack to pwn them

There are loads of tutorials on how to do this. Hak5 on youtube have some good stuff.

I'd recommend Uplink if you didn't already mention it...

Agreed. I think there was mention of a Uplink 2 but it may be a fan project.
