What have ppl got to say about liquidtelecom??

Their prices are a bit higher than other ISP's but if their claims of max 550ms latency and absolutely no fair access policy on uncapped packages is true, the slightly higher prices are more than justified.

The person I spoke to was extremely competent and very efficient, there is only one other ISP I have run across that keeps their promises of callbacks etc.

I'm really interested but if the service all of a sudden vanishes after money changes hands (as often happens) then I'm snookered.

Does liquidtelecom meet the very impressive claims they make??

Where are you from?

Remember this is a South African forum, you'll have to be more specific when posting as it looks like the ISP you're referring to is not in SA.

smile ........ ID beat me to it

far kinder response than i would have given tooo

My bad. Was thinking consumer products. Looked at their retail page which has no SA links: http://liquidtelecom.com/products-and-services/retail

They do have an address and telephone number listed in SA. I assume their VSAT product is being sold under their reseller program or their retail info has just not been updated yet.

Kinder responses will make your stay on MyADSl/MyBB far better and relaxing.

I would have responded with:

1) there are 3 other threads that reference liquidtelecom and that's without even searching for variants. A simple 30s forum search would have shown you this
2) their home page says "africa" and their contact us page lists a phone number for an office in bryanston
3) since you ask that question, you have first hand information about liquidtelecom and cannot answer the questions posed.

I understand that your trying to help, however your muddying the topic would be considered trolling on a stricter forum. Please check before trying to 'help' in the future.

I don't really understand how facts and politeness can be rude, aggressive and hostile but ppl keep on telling me it is, so now I just take them at their word. I don't know any other way to respond so ..... *shrug*

However thats waaay off topic ...... any liquidtech users with some insight to share???

Yes, you're right and I'm wrong. Boohoo, not the first time I'm wrong.

Ha, at work I have a knack for making people hot under the collar by merely stating facts. So yea, I am an inclined to believe 'them' when they tell me that facts and politeness can be rude.

Chill out Zoidberg (cool name btw)
As has already been stated, the only reason I would have responded that way is because I dont know any other. Some1 else had already responded in a far better manner so I didn't need to and didn't respond.

I was explaining to ID why I stated that his response was far nicer than mine ever could have been.

You were trying to help and that IS important. I would prefer more helpful help, which is why I would try to explain how to improve but I know that 99% of the population takes suggestions as criticisms, so after some1 else replied; there was no need for my inept attempt at 'helping' which is even poorer than your attempt.

That said, trying to help is far more important than helping competently so don't stop doing so.

Will a mod please move this to a general discussion forum, pls ... the original topic is hopelessly lost, i'll repost my first post in a new thread.

I would suggest that you rather keep this thread as is and continue your intended discussion here.
