Good day everyone - hoping someone knowledgeable on 5G networks and how the different ISP's operate can shed some light on this annoying topic for me

Context - I have month-to-month contracts with both MTN directly and with Afrihost (MTN) for 5G:
  1. MTN - R699 for 60 Mbps up and down - very stable at this rate - ZTE MC888 Router (provided)
  2. Afrihost - R999 for Unlimited up and down (normally about 250/80 Mbps up/down) - very stable speed as well - TP-Link NX510v (provided)
  3. Both routers in my lounge, right next to each other (seemingly connecting to the same cell tower)
  4. I have tried to swap the MTN SIM cards between devices, but neither device will connect (not sure if the SIM is locked or what).
  5. No, I can't just get Fibre as we dont have it here
Problem 1 - when connecting to game servers, my ping via Afrihost 5G is a lot more unstable and higher than when connecting with MTN 5G. Clearly MTN 5G is the superior option for gaming, however, that Afrihost is offering unlimited speeds is better for my household than the 60 Mbps that MTN is offering

Problem 2 - I am unable to get MTN to give me Unlimited 5G (the way Afrihost currently does) as the MTN sales team inside the shop say that their coverage map DOES NOT allow my location to get unlimited 5G. This despite the fact that I have access to Afrihost's Unlimited 5G option. I would like to have 1 router (for games and general home use) but this situation does not allow me that.

Question 1 - Is there any reason that the Afrihost 5G is worse in terms of latency and stability than the MTN 5G? and if so, how can I adjust the settings in the router to get it to be better for my use case? Not sure if Afrihost settings can be changed on my side to allow this (I have already spoke to the WhatsApp team - but they do not view this as an issue).

Question 2 - Is there any reason that MTN cannot give me Unlimited 5G? I am willing to pay them MORE money than I currently do in order to get this service, but they do not appear want it

I am thinking of cancelling the Afrihost 5G as it's only good for downloads and streaming but not for low-latency applications, like meetings and online games etc. Hopefully MTN can come to the party and give me the Unlimited option ASAP!
