Any slowness issues?

Hi all,

I'm having 'slow' speed issues with Steam, it started at about 7pm.
Yes, I was initially using my OpenWeb account, went from 200KB/s to 5KB/s.
Thinking it was OW acting up again, I switched over to my GF's MWEB account... same story - even tried changing servers (Steam) and still, anything from 10KB - 20KB/s.

I, on Afrihost, am having problems. My mates on Telkom, Axxess and Mweb also having issues. Though we all live in the same area in KZN (Midlands), so it seems like something big is causing problems somewhere.

Same here on mweb, since about 12pm I've had trouble accessing international sites. Steam dropped me out of a ranked CSGO, while IS Gaming TS was working just fine.

Restarting my modem got me back onto international sites for short time, but then I dropped again about 15 minutes later.

I checked back and it fixed itself at about 1am'ish.
Was it only limited to OpenWeb or MWEB or what?

I am on Afrihost in Randburg. Telkom has a lot of outages/maintenance issues here on some of the exchanges. Been this way for a couple of days now.

Please let me know if your problem with speeds persist today.

Telkom has confirmed via there IVR, when calling 10210; that they are doing maintenance on their network.

This could be impacting on your general experience.

and the usage throttle limit on it

We have the uncapped standard package which costs R599.00 data only and R959.00 All inclusive, which has a threshold of 256GB

The uncapped premium shaped package costs R999.00 and R1359.00 All inclusive, which has a threshold of 950GB
