Any Sodastream owners around....

Ok so problem, I think.
I ordered a Co2 bottle from an aquarium supplies shop. It seems that the bottle is filled to 20-40 bar.
Connected everything and the pressure is too low to make the sodastream operate like it should.

Any ideas on what to do next?

Thats very odd, I used co2 for my planted tank for years and it was always same pressure as fire extinguisher thats actually so low its empty... Either return the bottle or go get a new one

Left my tank there this morning. Apparently their pump is broken, so might have to wait a week or so.

FYI its on the right as you drive through the entrance and not the left, google maps has it wrong.

Also, put my tank in a backpack while on my bike, almost lost the tank on the road. Didn't even know until I got off my bike and took my backpack off and saw how close it was to falling.

Just to close this off - all good with the refill, just know that they only accept cash or EFT. No cards.

I only buy pepsi max! Its beyond yummies!

And I have the button on the top version!

Its a great investment, my honest 2c
Tries to be health conscious but consumes phenylalanine/aspartame, hilarious.

Has anyone bought one of these refill adapters for their Sodastream Art/Terra/Duo? R189 on Temu...

Looks like a good option to keep portability instead of linking a hose to a big 5kg CO2 cylinder. No adapters or anything else needed.

Ok so I have one of the newer Sodastreams that that use the new pink cylinder.
I got one of these from Temu. Where would be the best place to get a Co2 cylinder?
Just buy one from my local fire shop?

Oh I got the adaptor as well.

Ok so to revisit this. I got my original bottle filled and bought another filled one at the suggested fire extinguiser place, can't remember the name now.

However, on first usage, the o-ring inside the adaptor popped. A green one.
I replaced it, and the system was working fine for a day or 2.

Now, when I use it, the pressure seems so low that I can barely carbonate a SodaStream bottle.
I stripped my moer for the thing and haven't used it in months now. Time to check what's wrong.

Any suggestions?

I just ordered this:

Free shipping as well.

Will order a screw down valve for it (another ~500 bucks) once I know the thread and can be sure that I'm getting the right size.

Hopefully the local gas refilling place will be fine with refilling food grade Co2 into this cylinder...

Else I will have to use the Afrox technical grade Co2 from the fire extinguisher service guys, which apparently is only 99% pure. Though the bulk of the impurities are water, oxygen, nitrogen and some methane, there is a good chance of more toxic heavier hydrocarbons being mixed in there.

Since I don't wanna waste the gas already in the cylinder (it comes with a wall bracket that I can hopefully use to hang the cylinder upside-down) I plan on using a very long gas line and packing it with activated carbon with a stainless steel mesh screen at the end (or even having a section in the middle with much thicker pipe so I can pack a larger quantity in). That should filter out most of the bad stuff to the point where I would feel safe enough to use it.
