any wifi range extender?

I have a Netgear dgn2200 wifi router, got it with my line install and works with no issues. however our ps4 about 11m away in the lounge (and xbox360 to some extent) have the occasional issues with connecting and staying connected to the wifi. this especially true when streaming movies through PLEX.

so I want to get a range extender, rather than 15m lan cable as I also on occasion want to sit outside with the tablet on wifi

would any make of range extender do?
is there something specific I have to look out for?
I want to spend as little a possible on this.

I've used one of these before. Works a charm. Plug it in, enter wifi details into the web interface. Find Dlink in wifi, log on and Bob's your uncle! No messing with bridge modes or the like. Cost about R450 (Anstek PE). Easy Peasy
