Anybody bought the LA32D550 ?

i went back and had another look, ended buying the full hd lcd.
Hooked it up and it looks great, great feature about the model is that you can plug in any usb device and play files directly from it....even mkv files.

SQ01 panel? Check the right side on the label.
 
Well quality vs price has come to a point where i can justify it now.
Companies are starting to invest in value-adds for tvs now.
Quality is pretty much top notch now and i dont think it will improve drastically in future.
The next big thing will probably be OLED tvs.
 
out of interest with vsync on is your fps capped to 50 because it's 50hz TV or not
 
Pretty sure mine does 60Hz. LCDs are either both 50/60Hz, 100/120Hz, etc. Depends on the standard of the TV broadcasts in your country, PAL or NTSC. But PC gaming will likely always utilise the maximum capable Hz. These LCDs are 50/60Hz.
 
Was at Game Cape Gate yesterday to "check it out". But they had no stock. :( Otherwise I probably would've taken it. You still happy with it dude? After a week's use, any issues that you might have discovered?

Trust me, if there was a problem I'd notice it! ;)
Had multiple issues with 2x P2770H's a short while back, Samsung's QC isn't always on high-alert, so at first I was a little hesitant to go for them again.

Now I want a 40" tho! XD Gonna wait for a delicious special, and then sell the 32" to my family! XP

Dam you! :twisted::p They had one in an open box standing next to the counter, which I tried to haggle an open box deal for, but the rep said that it has to go in for repairs. He took my name and number though and said he'll call when they get stock in again.

Good to hear. 40" I believe will be a bit overkill, but then again that's what I said about 24" a couple of years ago.
 
I bought my LA32D550 in this week from Game Parow Centre - they have plenty stock. I absolutely love this tv. Now just to get the colour settings right.

Edit: nevermind. Advanced settings available in standard picture mode only.

Let me know if you think I should turn on Dynamic Contrast, I think I have it set to OFF, ..just remembered the lag on my old 23".

What Panel is it? The number on the side of the TV
 
Questions for the owners using it as a PC monitor. When connecting your PC to the monitor, I take it you do so via HDMI? Do you get your PC's sound over HDMI as well? And if yes, how is the sound like on this TV?

Hdmi, yes, but I've been unable to work out how to get the sound working. Open to suggestions.
