Anyone bought a generic Roku 3 power adapter?

As title states. Roku Streaming stick is too sluggish and would like to give reviving the Roku 3 one last shot before spending more money on this.

Careful with those things, they often put out more voltage than intended, be sure to measure its actual output with a multimeter beforehand, or gradually increase the voltage until the unit turns on

If OP lives near Midrand, Communica does stock decent regulated power supplies

Quick update on this. Apparently I threw out the Roku 3 in frustration

Figured I'd look at the streaming stick again and found the issue. 2.4ghz WiFi had a lot of interference. 5Ghz seems to be working fine.
Given it to old people and will hear if there are anymore complaints.

Had mine for a few years now, still working fine. Bought from Game if I recall correctly.

Apologies for old thread revival, my Roku power supply has failed, and I can't get to Communica, can I use any power supply as long as output is 12v and 1A? Hopefully the local cellphone shop has something I can use over the holidays ..:

Yes that will work make sure it's 1 A and positive polarity

Try to get a switching type supply similar to the original - the Ellies supply uses a transformer and produces a lot of ripple/noise. The transformer types are usually a lot bigger/heavier.
