anyone else getting insane dl speeds on EA's Origin?

just wondering if its only me, ive got a mweb 4mb line my dl speed is usual 400 kb/s, though when i dl BF3 patches or anything on origin my dl speeds are up at 700 kb/s - 900 kb/s wondering if im the only one this is happening to ?

Yeah noticed this too.. I put it down to caching at first but it was constant and I was watching the download fly literally

Was getting around 700+ on my 4MB line syncing at 4096kbps..so not sure how thats possible.

Someone in this thread has their bits & bytes mixed up. Not sure who though.

@OP: EA probably "upgraded" their downloader. I wouldn't trust the speeds displayed.

I recommend contacting EA support.

You? Jk. He means kB yes. And I have seen the same behaviour on a friends PC too.. So not sure really. Just a crap speed monitor probably..

well the estimated time is spot on with those download speeds so it is actually going faster than usual if the if the speeds displayed are faulty the ETA would also be faulty but the ETA is spot on if you calculate the bit rate at which its going at.

use app to monitor your network, origin is broken , it does not say the real speed

Downloading the full game from scratch, and getting the same thing. This is on a 1meg line with a 1meg account.
