anyone else lagged last night??? 4275ms!!!

hey guys,

i have a telkom 384 account i use to play wow with :( which surprisingly is not that bad on latency. i usually have about 500-600ms latency, and its fine to random dungeons on my alt...

but last night - over 4000ms??? anyone else experience this? eventually quit group, logged off and went to bed!

i think its time to get me some titan from WA! :)
 
You did read the notice about the maintenance being done on SAT3 this week, did you?
 
yeah i dced a few times because of not getting enough bandwidth, luckly guildies understanding, so killed bosses with half dced tank is awesome :P

i actually do try to keep up to date with news on mybroadband, but i must've missed that one.

my apologies for starting such a pointless thread then.
 
Well, there is no central point to find these notices in a way where you can actually work out by looking at the notice heading if you're affected.
 
i've looked around the news articles and i dont find anything relating to maintenance on sat3, is it in the forum discussions?

moggie, can you link an article, thread, blog for me about it?
 
at around 10pm i got a nice little dc and then my ms went haywire...otherwise it was fine all day and during the raid time unfortunatly other guidlies were also having dc issues...so we didn't really get far into the actual raid ;p
 
I have accounts with 3 ISPs, Axxess (1GB semi-sahped), Afrihost 1GB (semi-shaped) and MWEB Uncapped (shaped).

Out of these three MWEB gives me the best latency... 24/7

It makes my mind hurt.
 
yeah mweb is IS based so should give you best ping , when sat3 is back the other should give you the best ping
 
going to try battleping at home here at work with 512 line i get 350ms to netherlands server, cant test in wow atm
 
Yep, around 10pm my connection went to **** on Web Africa. (First time for everything)
What i don't get though is why only me and 1 other chap.. half the guild's raiding on WA.. Anyway, hoping for a speedy SAT3 recovery.
