Anyone having problems with DSTV sound

Probably old IDE /PATA, but, like I say, haven't yet opened the thing up. But I'll have to soon - it's keeping them awake at night.

Yeah the PVR does hum rather loudly.. could be the fan or hard-drive spinning not sure but a seagate would be a good replacement since it has really low idle noise.

lol, that's weird the one I use is not that loud.

We subscribe to the German bouquet and also experience the disappearing sound and sometimes the screen goes blank (info bar still appears) and we have to reset...

pretty much the same as mine, not changed. Where is the competition
