flashpoint was great. it was a completely different type of game to bf1942. where bf1942 was about arcade style warfare, flashpoint was about trying for some sort of realism.

just asking - got some great add ons and multiplayer maps if anyone wants - its truly still the most realistic game out

realism is fun for some people.
look at all the car and flight simulators ^_^
besides there was plenty of non-realism stuff in add-ons and extra stuff

bf 2 is gonna rock 100 mulltiplayer support

*yawn* joint ops (not your brother ) had I think 255 player limit...big problem was getting that many people to join a server at one point. I believe at Rage they managed about 80 at one point...thats at an organised lan. Online you'll rarely if ever get that much

voip built into the game

*yawn* UT2k4 has had this, and so has splinter cell
i just hope it has mute. nothing worse than hearing 14 year olds spew off 30 words a sec about your mother and a donkey after you frag them

I've been there (twice), the spot you are at, seeing a game, which will change worlds and be the greatest of all time....here is a tip, before saying things like that get the game and play it. In any respect I've seen nothing about BF2 that has wowed me.

a) I haven't seen many games nowdays with a demo before it came out
b) a demo is rarely a good indication of the whole game

I still don't understand (maybe it's my ant brain). So
a) Seen better graphics in plenty of games (this is based off of video fotage I've seen)
b) VOIP has been in games for ages *YAWN*
c) How can you say game play is great when you have yet to play it?

Didn't say the graphics were bad, just nothing WOW. Look at the E3 video for Unreal 3, that is WOW. BT2 doesn't have WOW for me. But then again as you say it may be the videos themselves. So lets wait for the final game to decide on graphics.

Off the top of my head UT2k3, UT2k4, Splinter Cell 2 and 3, Joint Ops, and every single XBox live game (not that we can play them but it's for explanation of the point). But there has been things like Ventrilo and Roger Wilco for years giving voip to all games anyway for years (used to play ut99 ctf games with roger wilco).

I dunno. UT2k3 game play was not better than UT99. I'm also still in two minds about which of BF:1942 and BF:Vietnam I found had better game play.

UT2k3 demo was great, actual game not so.
Ridd!ck demo was great, game was great.
Siphon Filter demo was terrible, game was much better
GTR demo wouldn't run, final game did
What I am saying is you can not use a demo as a hard and fast rule of the quality of the game. Sometimes it is and other times not.
