Anyone in PE has dsl installed recently?

Hey,

I went to apply for 4meg dsl the other day, was just wondering if anyone has had adsl installed in pe recently would like to know how long the techies took? When i had dsl installed a while back i waited 3-4weeks.. Has it come down in the wait time or still about the same?

Hmmm i would, but they need to do some wiring so that the only reason why im not doing it.. I already have adsl but im gettin another line with another adsl in my house.. :)
 
Oh ok, just thought it might be better to get them to do the wiring for the normal phone and then do an ADSL self install yourself. Pull out a wire so they have to come fix your phone and then get them to install the extra connections or whatever at the same time. :D
 
Hmmm okay.. Im gonna try that.. Not pulling out the wire.. But im gonna go there and speak to the guy, ask him if it will be faster if i do self install and they just come and install the jack for a phone line.. see what he says..
 
I was joking about pulling out the wire, normal phone installations and ADSL installations seem to be handled by different people so it might be worth a try.
 
2weeks.. Hmmm thats not bad.. ill go there on monday and see the ETA.. And if its to long ill ask for self install.
 
Okay thats a nice thing to hear... Thats short.. They phoned me on friday and said i should be able to do self install but it wasnt syncing should be snycning sometime this week..

I will phone on Friday if i dont hear anything from them.. I dont mind waiting a week and a bit but after that they starting to push it..

The fuked up thing is that they phoned me and said my line should be syncing and i should be able to use it but its not.. SO i told them..

now we can just wait and see..
