Anyone interested in old network hubs?

Hey everyone

This isn't a formal offer or anything, more just trying to get a feeler out. After some recent network upgrades at my job, we've got a stack of old network hubs laying in storage.

They range from 8 port through to 24 port, various makes. I think all are only 10MB/s, and some even have co-ax and AUI connectors on them. We'd like to obviously get rid of them, without throwing them in the bin.

I know sometimes that they can be used for troubleshooting purposes, so if anyone has a need let me know. This is pretty much limited to Cape Town only though.

Look for an educational outlet

There are some folks in Cape Town setting stuff up for schools etc

Do not have names places etc off hand.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.

I probably should have mentioned that my work is a school lol. Except we seem to have a decent budget, so we've started replacing all our old unmanaged switches with ProCurves. The hubs are mainly the by product of an older upgrade, but they've been sitting in storage for years I imagine.

I think that if one looked in schools, you could find a wealth of old but useful equipment sitting around.
