Anyone know of a web-based open software tool like this?

I'd like to create "blocks" that you can select/drag/drop from a menu on the left to an area on the right. Then when I drag/drop another "block" onto it, it links the two so block 1 points to block 2 (almost building a treeview basically but almost mind-mappy-ish)

a jquery based web based html5 thing would be nice, not sure what to search for. any help would be appreciated

almost, I was hoping there would be an already existing solution instead of coding one from the ground up. Almost like mind mapping / process flow type stuff where I can drag one box onto another/link them and then save the order in the db

No **** sherlock. I want to use a pre-existing open source library to DEVELOP something custom for a client of mine. It looks like a mind map software, but they obviously don't want off the shelf. Sheesh. Read much?

You probably should have made a better OP, as it was not at all obvious that you were looking for a library rather than an exist app.

Yes probably, but what normal user would post in the software development forum asking for a jquery based *insert term used here*? no one I know. my users barely remember their own names nevermind what jquery is.

I just need to build a menu on the left hand side holding objects/clone them as I drag them off the menu and when dropping, they'll connect as per the demo.
