I have just started with the free 14 day trail and the game looks pretty nice.

It just feels that this game will take alot of time?

I can get it for you. I think I have it on a spare drive or otherwise can get it from a friend down the road.

Hey guys.... been ages since I browsed or posted on these forumns. I'm in the UK, but from cpt, been here 1year 4months so far.

Well if youd like to join a corp with a lot of za/exza members then message me ingame. Username: unit01.

Alternatively if you need the game files an your in cpt pm me an we can arrange to get the files to you. Nice thing is you don't even need to install the game to run it. Just copy over an play :)


Regarding cap usage. I'd just like to say that's utter tosh. eve has to be one of the bandwidth friendly games out there. a friend plays continiously on his 3gb acc an he's never even over a gig in eve usage. Hell i'd wager to say he doesn't even make 500mb a month.

Eve is even playable on 56k's. Even know a couple ppl that play it on isdn/iburst/sentech. Damn u got internet. U can play eve plain an simple.
 
Meant the client download, not ingame bandwidth usage :)

Yeah, how does it run on shaped lines with 800ms ping times? (Like we have been having the last week...)

I would also love to play, but then it must be layable...
 
Its a very good game. Eve has had over 18k people play on it at the same time. SAME TIME, CONCURRENT CONNECTIONS. For an MMO that is just darn amazing.

What are the min. specs required to run the game. Wouldn't mind giving it a go if the specs aren't too high.

Really if anybody needs to get hooked up with the client files then just pm me an we can sort something out. Also i'm part of a corp that's really great for noobs cause they really help all members get up there.

Eve is a beutiful game and it's quite sad that the forum admin won't ever sticky the game


Btw eve runs currently for me at 460 ms ping an for that it's beautiful. Eve isn't a bandwidth intensive or a twitch game where the reponse time is so critical.

If your pings are sub 800 it should run fine :)
 
I am on 10 gig SAOL but for some reason i am flying through bandwidth :(

Would prefer if someone has it on CD, i can pick up or post back a blank...If not i will have to DL at end month seeing how much usage i got left.

If your in ct then if u want u can just come over an copy the game straight.
The game downloaded should be bout a gig nowadays i think.

Else we can work something else out. Just send me a few bucks an ill mail the dvd through. Hell i'll even throw some eve vids on just to fill it out.
 
I bit the bullet and downloaded it last night :)

Thanks though..Just waiting for trial Key to come through
