Hi again

As you all know I bought BF2 a few months back but couldn;t get the damn thing to run on my machine. I will be getting a new GFX card before the weekend :)

So now what I would like to know is, do you guys still play it ? Is the servers very busy ?

Also, anyone in the greater JoBurg area where I can get the patches from Fresh install till date.

yeah man plenty okes still play it, there is pretty much always around 17 - 25 people in a team most of the night, and also lots of time more on the server 1 or something, then you also get lots of dudes on the urban 1 server that is infantry only

I play it now and again... but not as often as I used too.

2 of my good friends have recently gotten back into BF2.

The only thing that 'might' kill the servers completely is BF3, whenever it does come out but even then, I'll still push BF2 because it's damn good game to play online.

bwhahaha

Much teabagging, I sense to come !

Pitbull, I'll jam with you as soon as I get punkbuster to stop kicking me. Btw, make sure you have up to the latest patches.

Anyone that have it on discs ?

I don't want to spend one full day downloading patches. I'm trying to find some online clan that might have members near my area.

Hey I'm no fool when it comes to FPS games. But I heard BF2 is a chalenge and I can't wait :)

So far I know the following:

1. STFU and listen to the squad leader.
2. Stay low
3. Spray when you shoot
4. BOOM Head shot :D

I have no need to try and do the vehicles yet. I'm a foot soldier :p

Awww that's so cute :D

Just wait until you've blown up a tank with your 1st C4-buggy or Jihad-Jeep

You'll learn to love AND hate this game all at the same time. Especially after your 1000th Arty-party while trying to cap a flag.

...oh and a little mistake I made when I 1st joined... I thought there was a red team and a blue team. The americans were red and I was told to shoot at them whenever possible! Next round I was american... hooray! I guess I'm on the red team then ... DEATH TO ALL BLUE TEAM MEMBERS !!!!1111oneoneeleven I got kicked off the server :(

Turns out no matter what side you're on, you are always blue and enemy is always red. Go figure.

Look forward to seeing you on!

what is teabagging or what ever,,,,i have heard of it but still dont know what it is..

If you headshot someone they drop like a Teabag into water. That is where Teabagging comes from. You also get another type of Teabag but that is not gaming related :D

I played it for Yonks and still do, although i jump between CoD4 and BF2, have BF2142 as well but its not as good.
Need to upgrade my line and will buy a copy for my housemate, then well be back in the action :)
BF2 is still going strong on the competition side, my buddy was part of the winning team at Rage this year, with winnings of 4k per person, the game is definitely not dead.

Dude lies down on his back, usually passed out when drunk.
Another dude pulls down his shorts and dangles his hairy nutsack above the guys mouth.
This is afaik know what teabagging is.

The "another type" you're referring to IS the gaming related one :D

It's not so much "dangling above" as it is ... well ... think about dipping a teabag into boiling water. In this case your sack = the soggy teabag, and the mug of water = the guy's mouth. Anyway, it's a symbol of OWNING someone.

In gaming terms ... if you owned some guy , you normally run over to his corpse, then crouch down and stand up repeatedly to simulate "teabagging" the guy.

So anyhoo ... lovely game that BF2 is.

ooooh ok,,,,i'v even done that few times,,saw a dude doing it to me and thought well i'd do it to someone else. i dont really think it symbolizes anything ownage,, but what ever blows thier hair back
