Anyone use VW insurance ?

It doesn't hurt, at least it's never hurt me before. And I get a discount every time I phone. Happened with Hondasure (Hollard), happened with Outsurance beforehand too.

yeah, i guess that they will do everything to retain business, more so if you have remained claim-free.

Excess, premiums and all that the same? Just check what you are paying for (comparing apples with apples). I remember Outsurance offered me a package that was R200 cheaper than the one at Santam, but basically didn't cover anything; 12 months later, when I was shopping around for insurance deals, Outsurance had the better package than Santam.

Haven't claimed from Outsurance... yet... but have heard that it's generally a mission to get anythign from them.

I have claimed from Outsurance and they were fantastic - got the money paid into my account within 24 hours.

They payout within days of the incident. The after problem is when you try insure a new vehicle.

Santam gave me insurance for less than outsurance was gonna charge for just the more expensive vehicle.

1 expensive vehicle
1 cheap runaround
household insurance.

i also dont trust very cheap compare to others ..this is like R200 less than normal cheap quotes
