Anyone using SAWIRELESS

If their wireless service is as bad as their website, caveat emptor

R3000 for installation, what a rip off. You can buy the same kit for a R1000 max. But i must say R500pm for uncapped inet at 1meg is not that bad.

I was commenting on the numerous spelling mistakes on the website.

And my recommendation for any wireless ISP is caveat emptor, so that comment was not specifically directed at sawireless. I have had no personal experience with them, except for what I have read on this forum.

If the install is really 1800 then that is not a bad monthly price once u've shelled out the install costs

Im sure someone has used or busy using them. Had a look on their page aswell and those prices are pretty attractive. Just waiting to move to a permanent residence then getting the sawireless 2meg package.

Just a couple of things for some of the quotes, either there's a mix up or the page is wrong because i also saw R1800 for installation... not bad for a once off cost considering the money one will save with the inet prices.

Webpage being the door to someone's company, well this could be a very vital contributor to the case but i would look at it as more of a window, you like you look inside but even looking through a window restricts you to what might lie at the back of the shop. The price is what i would call the door. Take uninet for example, much better webpage but R400 (i could be mistaken) for a 256k line, R100 more and you can have 1meg with sawireless... now which one would you prefer?

Just a pity none of them respond to emails concerning info...

Emails

Sorry that we have not answered any of your email, I have been running around, trying to get our spring’s branch up and running. And our new Cape Town branch in The Strand that will be up soon
Will keep you informed.

Just out of curiosity, how many users do u have on your ifrastructure, and what is the ratio?

Info

@sawireless

well seeing as post are quickly responded to here ill ask the info i need here.

What is:
1. the contention ratio on the home package
2. the restrictions on usage i.e. p2p or not etc... and if you also do that limitation where you can download only 300mb/3 days after which bandwidth is cut down.
3. Can we purchase the equiptment ourselves and if so will this decrease the inst. cost and by how much.

I wrote alot more in the email but cant recall them so i guess this will have to do for now

thanks

Hi anybody know if they have coverage in Rondebosch East (Cape Town) area and what their P2P policies are?

Thanks

Hmmmm I wonder if it will work well. Their prices are so low. How is this possible? I hope i dont need the installation if I can get a signal with a USB adapter.
