Anyone using www.playon.tv?

just purchased playlater but no shows on Netflix are showing up to DL. Tested my login details which is fine

Hulu(free) does work but the DL rate is really slow unfortunately.

So I am looking to try PlayOn again (tried it the beginning of the year and decided wasn't for me). Before I go ahead I have a few questions for anyone who is currently using PlayOn.

1) What is the content like? I already have both Netflix and Hulu subscriptions which I will be keeping. But I see they offer Discovery, History, kids channels and more - are these additional paid for services or free? How reliable are the streams and is it new content or just old repeated content?

2) What are the sport options? This is what I ma looking into mostly; trying to find a reliable service for sport streams. Does PlayOn offer any? I see they have ESPN, Fox Soccer ect but surely those are paid for? Do they have any private channels maybe or anyway to get SkySports, EuroSports, BTSports or Al jazeera ect?

3) I see there are many "Private / Additional" channels - do these work and are they reliable? Are there any must have ones (see question 2 regarding sports maybe)?

Also anything I need to beside installing the Server to get it working on my Roku?

Sorry for all the questions but just want to make sure the service is worthwhile investing into again.

Thanks again.

Sorry also just saw now you can add PlayOnScripts and superusvoxtv to your Roku and stream alot more channels. Anyone have any experience with superusvoxtv?

So I just installed the PlayOn server on my HPMS and was able to easily connect to my Roku. I haven't purchased the license for PlayOn yet as I first wanted to see if it has changed much. Is ot just me or even tho there are alot of channels, hardly any of them have a big selection of full episodes - most just seem to be a few clips and then one or two full episodes? Is it only like this because I haven't signed up yet or is the selection just generally that bad?

I have installed most of the PlayOn plugins and scripts but all need a PlayOn membership to work.

I forgot I even had it installed. Tended to just stick to my regular Plex, Netflix and Hulu+ setup via the Roku 's.

Must revisit this me thinks.

Yeah I tried it last night and I must say the selection is rather poor - there seem to be alot fo shows on the different networks but they all seem to be clips and one or two full episodes.

Honestly tho, I am just going to try it too see if I can get some way to stream live sports as I haven't found a solid solution yet via the Roku.

But all in all not much has changed since the last time I tries PlayOn so if I don't find a sport solution using PlayOn, then will cancel again (signed up for the monthly subscription). Saying that, if I do find a solution for sport, combine that with PlayLater I can see myself smiling for days

Anybody got anything good to say about playon?

i'm interested in getting it...as WeelzSA put it...

Updated PlayOn/PlayLater yesterday and it looks pretty cool now. The recording format is also MP4 with the option to convert your previous recorded movies to the same format. (MP4)

Just a quick question: - I have recorded a movie from NetFlix (Scream - since it will soon be removed from NetFlix) and it ended up 2.64GB. This was for quality set to Auto. I then changed the quality to low and recorded Skin Trade and it was still around 1.75GB (Recorded in 480x270)

Is it just me or does that sound a tad big?
