Age of Conan

What class and race will you roll for your 1st char?
 
I like a lot of the classes...

Assassin/Ranger/Necro look the most appealing

It will narrow down after i've seen:

How the assassin copes with multiple mobs
How the ranger copes in melee
How the necro copes with the spellweaving

As for the race, that will depend on what each look like, and after the good 2 hours i'll spend customising my char :p

You have been a long and thrustworthy participant in our community, and as such we would like to thank you for helping us form Age of Conan into the marvelous product it is today. The last weeks has seen some serious enhancment to the game, and with the release we will be opening several new areas and neverbefore seen content in the launch version of the game. What and where it is? You have to find out for yourself!

As a sign of gratitude for your aid, we are pleased to offer you the in-game item used by those loyal to King Conan: The Drinking Cape. This item will allow your characters (one game account only) to free of charge demand the very sought after alcholic drink of "Ambrosia" - free and in unlimited supplies for life! After having claimed your cape, merely find one of the kegs in the finer Inns of Hyboria and click it whilst wearing your cape to receive your drink.

To register your cape, log in to your account page by https://register.ageofconan.com clicking here and under the option "Use a Key" - enter this key:

Once this has been done, use the command "/claim" inside the game to claim your in-game items. These items work for all the characters you create on your account. Note that all in-game items are only available on full accounts, and do not work on pre-order, buddy or (later) trial accounts.

Note that this item will not be made available again at later dates - so wear it with pride!

I'm definately with you on that one, with Necro being my 1st choice, I also like the Priest chars...

On a side note, is it just me or do some stuff remind any of you guys of Guild Wars?

On a sidenote, guys after the Collectors Edition can grab it at Look & Listen, its out now.
 
Just got mail this morning from take2 that my product is ready for collection...man i wish i could go home already and go get my game :P ......but i got to work ...sigh

dont know as to what race or class me gonna be...but me thinking about the Demonologist

So how will it work?
If you create a character in single player, will you be able to transfer him to multiplayer? Or would you need to create a new character for multiplayer?
 
AFAIK you create your char as you want..then the 1st 15lvl's are 'single player' on their server...but u can still chat with mates who are online etc... then once u hit the 1 city it becomes mmo propper.
 
On my order status from take2. says "Shipped" /me wonders if it will arrive today
