The next moment, some other okie, who had nothing to do with the entire incident jumps up and grips me in a head lock.....

I could have done one or two things..... lucky for him , I was in a good mood this morning and seeing that I was out on bail whilst waiting for my court case, I decided to refrain from retaliating and more than likely saved myself from getting life in prison...

Also if a choke hold is done right there isnt much you are going to do except go to sleep.
People often think a choke hold is about cutting off your airways, a good one though cuts off blood circulation which results in sleep before you can even thing to react!

When I disassociate from a bad element that bully in groups for fun or beat up black homeless people. I also mean it as an insult just like "souties" do. Idiots acting like neanderthals to "prove" that they men.

There are a variety of factors at play, first and foremost that people are wary of getting involved in a legal spat. Not everyone sits idly by because they're simply lazy. Secondly is that medical fees are incredibly high in this country. Not everyone enjoys the idea of getting into debt by jumping into a fight they possibly can't win.

I was going to congratulate you on your actions, but considering your sanctimonious attitude I'm not sure it's really warranted anymore.

We don't get insulted, especially not by ourselves. We don't have an inferiority complex. You can call me a white **** for all I care.
 
As far as I'm concerned if you are a paying member of a facility/institution of which it is the family variety, they should have someone asking people to not swear etc. That ou toppie should ask for a refund and the guy swearing should have been vacated from the premises. If the place was properly run then the incident as laid out in the OP should never have occurred and the OP should have read along the lines of "drunk **** got thrown out of country club - why can't people control themselves when in public..."

True I was very surprised that the waiters / bar staff didn't intervene. I mean we're talking about a members club that costs a few grand a year to attend and one, where you need to have a member with at least 5 years membership, vouch for you as a new member before you can join.
