Apathy...

My takeaways from this thread:

1) jsheed has rockstar lifestyle
2) jsheed is rich beyond my wildest imagination
3) jsheed is a superhero
4) jsheed should have fathered my children instead of me.

1.) Don't I just wish. I hate having to pick out the blue M&M's myself. I feel like such a pleb when I do.
2.) I was a guest, so no I'm not rich, sadly :(
3.) With great power comes great responsibility?
4.) I refuse to pay child support and you can't make me!

Apparently, that whole story arose because when Van Halen would tour, they had such a complex and dangerous stage show that it was imperative to have all of their instructions followed precisely; so they inserted a ludicrous requirement for all brown M&Ms to be removed as a test to see if the stage hands were paying attention in a new venue. Little known fact :p

i probably would have somewhat less restrained, chances i would be in a police cell right now.

pity you never gave the **** an opportunity to take a swing at you opening the way for a good an proper lesson to be taught.

I had a similar experience once. It was these 2 guys against 15 and boy did we beat the crap out of those 2 guys?!!

:D

Honestly, I'm a tiny guy. I would like to think I would stand up for someone else as in this case, but I would have to do a hit and run as I wouldn't be able to take much of a beating :D

Tiny as in skinny, not short :p

If you thought OP's case was bad

http://www.wesh.com/news/deputies-man-beat-3yearold-outside-day-care/31433176

DELTONA, Fla. —A Volusia County man has been charged with child abuse after he allegedly beat a 3-year-old boy outside a day care, deputies said.

According to witnesses, Dorn dragged the child out of the day care and then beat him.

Witnesses told sheriff's deputies that Dorn threw the boy in the vehicle and began hitting him. One witness said they had to turn away but could hear loud smacks and the victim screaming.

In theory I'd think the best course of action is just to warn them of repercussions (not threaten) if they take further action, in other words making them aware that the fight isn't worth it. Don't take sides. Maybe try get some distance between them.

But if I had a further grudge with the guy swearing I could say something as well. Don't challenge, especially in front of his crowd where he is easily embarrassed or has bigger ego, just say hey lets keep it less than PG13 around here please :)

And if he still doesn't listen this means he really is just looking for a fight and is not worth your time.

Most people just don't want to get involved if they can help it.

This exactly proves the reality and its sad. Most people would rather turn a blind and eye and pretend they didn't see anything.

It's sad that a woman, who's less equipped for a physical confrontation got involved and made a stand when most fully grown men didn't. I'm not the biggest, I'm not the strongest, but like that woman I wouldn't be able to just stand by and do nothing.

They should be ashamed. I know I would be.
