app world not working (more than two week's)

The app world keeps asking for update and it fails every time have spoken to vodacom on numerous occasions and all the stories and lies,now they blame RIM and I told them that I pay vodacom not RIM for the service.I find the service and blame on RIM quite frustrating.I think its about time Vodacom did something about this situation,by the way they say this is a worldwide problem.

Please can someone HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!

So hows it vodacoms fault if its a world wide problem, when did vodacom become the one and only service provider.

Service providers are at best middle men for blackberry, essentially all they do is charge you for the service and provide host tables, other than that everything is on rims end, we have a direct cable up to rims servers from the isp which they have no control over, they cannot manipulate anything on that line, all content is hosted and/or routed through rims servers in europe.
 
Go to Setup/options then applications, then change applications in right top corner to add ons. Delete app world, then go to hyperlink below. It does work, just did it. you can uninstall App World and then re-install an earlier version from the following link: http://santo.asia/repository/bb-file/BlackBerryAppWorld.3.0.1.29.OS5/AppWorld.jad
You can paste this link directly into your web browser and it should install automatically.

Did it yesterday as I have been experiencing the same problem. Works.

According to the posts on the Blackbrry Support forums, the only people experiencing this problem are Vodacom subscribers. Not sure why, but downgrading is the only way to fix it.

To shed light on the problem:

The updated version of BB App World requests a BB ID update. For some reason, this fails everytime when using a Vodacom SIM. Workaround / solution is to downgrade App World.
 
Hi guys,

i have the same problem. First my bb would fail when updating the blackberry I.D after i got a new replacement handset. Then i upgraded to OS6 and the I.D updated. Now i get error about an invalid bb I.D :mad:

The work around was to go to applications and delete the I.D then reboot and try again. Didnt work. Then i downgraded to the old bb app world and same thing. Apparently i have to wait until RIM releases a new update which includes a fix... i wonder how long this will take :whistle:
