Hi,

Not sure where to post this and I did do a search for relevant answers. Mods please move this to the relevant section if needed.

So I got the bad news that mechant services arent available in SA. So thats Android off the list. To put the question bluntly, would one be able to sell them on the apple platform and receive the money in SA? Dont wont to go down that road if its a mission and laborious.

Any advice would be appreciated,
Peon

Yes Apple supports both paid apps and in-app purchases in South Africa.

For Android you can look at opening an account with Payoneer (basically gives you a bank account in the states) which then allows you to transfer the money back to this side. It is a mission but probably worth the effort considering Android's market share. http://www.payoneer.com/

That's very interesting! I didn't know about payoneer to be honest. Thanks for the info.

I applied yesterday after registering with Leadbolt.

There's a $3 withdrawal charge plus another 2.75% fee of the amount for exchange rate conversion. Apparently they can also send you a prepared Master Card where they can transfer your money, I'm still waiting to be approved.

Thank you frikkenator, you a legend!

Im assuming I would need to get a VPN to the states to setup a merchant account?

No, just setup your payoneer account, then register a new Google account that is set to United States. To setup the merchant account you're going to need a valid address in the US, but that is not that difficult to get.

BTW: The is no excuse for Google not to have this available in SA yet, it's friggin pathetic.

How does one transfer money into the payoneer account. Will need it for the google dev fee.
