Apple Arcade details revealed

Apple Arcade is now available on the South African App Store with iOS 13, and is priced at R84.99 per month.

The iStore announced the launch, stating that South African users can now access an all-new way to enjoy games.

It's pretty cool from what I've seen so far, but maybe don't jump the gun on the 1-month trial too early if you aren't super keen as it's only iPhone right now and not all the 100 games are there yet.

Ultimately it's targeted at the super casual experience or even non-gamer in some ways but the few games I've tried have been good fun and well-curated.

Um how bout clicking unsubscribe? They make it super easy.

But it's like all things really, if you have the cash... splash by all means
If you don't, get some credit then splash... then get depressed by the repayments and interest.

It does add up, but if the value isn't there then don't pay for it. I love my subscriptions.

I did plex once off when they had a special. Saves the subscription.
YouTube premium Includes YouTube music and google play music and both are available on google home.
I am embedded in the Apple ecosystem, but I still did the options above. Saved a bit of cash-not much. But it’s something...

You're absolutely right. Dropbox should go. Also looking for a way to also drop the additional iCloud subscription but I think that'll just cause me more problems.
I'm really gonna do some serious subscription clean up. There's so much more that's not on my original list- I just got suckered in because the amounts seemed so insignificant.

Take DSTV out and what remains is pretty damn cheap.

Let’s not forget that the Apple services support Family Sharing.

Paying for Plex monthly instead of a lifetime license is silly.

And might as well skip Dropbox and do iCloud for reasons above and less money.

Can game share Game Pass as well with a little effort.

It’s stupidly cheap though and I see it as having saved me many a R1000 a month on games a number of times.

I'm doing google photos with the free tier.
My Iphones only sync to icloud the important stuff, so don't go over the 5gb free tier either.
