Apple changes iPad Wi-Fi + 4G name

It is the differentiation between wifi-only and wifi+cellular (previously described as wifi+3G) as functional differences between the devices. Sure it would cost in terms of more radio parts that would have to be paid for. OTOH, it would simplify packaging, inventory control, advertising ... In the long run it would even out.

I wasn't confusing the two, I understand the difference. My point was that they already stuffed up the name, and now they're also stuffing up the description. These 2 combined is gonna cause chaos for the uninformed non-technical person, which is your average Apple user.

This must be killing iPad sales . . . :rolleyes:

"Wi-Fi + Cellular" - this makes perfect sense just because of the number of times I've heard people ask if their 4G ipad will work outside of the US because they only have 3G.
