No exploding iPhones, said Apple

US technology giant Apple said Friday it had seen no evidence that overheating batteries had caused screens on some of its iPhone devices to explode, blaming incidents in France on "external force."

I think some people are going to get in trouble for making false claims and trying to benefit from it.
If however it is true, then it definitely is going to be within an "acceptable limit", something that all companies have and which would not cause a product to be removed from the shelf.

"The iPhones with broken glass that we have analysed to date show that in all cases the glass cracked due to an external force that was applied to the iPhone," the company added.
I wonder if it was possibly a case of sacrebleu . . my iPhone was in my back pocket and sat on it . . . whatever shall I do . .

hey if france gets invaded ze rististance (french accent) can use there iphones as grenades. :-D

i am sure most of this was caused by neglect.

Its not like Apple is gonna come out and tell the world they sold everyone Iphones that are bound to explode sometime in its life

If this was true there would be bulk orders coming in from Afghanistan.
