55 inch about two feet. Picture looks much better because it's the native resolution of the TV.

So actually if you put a 1080p TV next to it they will probably look near identical (at recommend viewing distance)

Your benefit isn't that the content is in 4K. The problem is rather that 1080p content looks like ass because it needs to upscale.

Of course native will look better. Same applies to 1080p on a 1080p TV.

But yes sitting that close (which is way beyond recommended viewing distance) sure the higher resolution will be nicer...as silly as sitting that close is.

Even at that distance you won't notice the difference between 1080 and 4K at native resolution. You will when upscaling etc gets involved
